Singer-songwriter Gary Wright, who discovered fame with Seventies hits “Dream Weaver” and “Love Is Alive,” died Monday. He was 80 years previous.

Wright had been identified with Parkinson’s illness and dementia.

This started a friendship with the previous Beatle, who Wright would later write about in his e-book “Dream Weaver: A Memoir; Music, Meditation, and My Friendship with George Harrison.”
