Working on John Wick: Chapter 4 was so exhausting for Hollywood star Keanu Reeves that he wanted his titular character to be “definitively killed at the end of this film”, franchise producer Basil Iwanyk has revealed.
Reeves reprised his function of the murderer who returns to the world he had left behind to avenge the homicide of a pup, a present from his late spouse in the fourth chapter of the motion movie sequence directed by Chad Stahelski. It was launched in March.
In an interview with the web site Collider, Iwanyk revealed the actor grew to become a “shell of himself” as the capturing course of neared its completion.
“After the second, third, and fourth film, making these movies is so exhausting and it destroys Keanu, bodily and emotionally. By the end, he is at all times like, ‘I can not do that once more,’ and we agree with him.
“The man is only a shell of himself as a result of he simply goes off and goes for it. He was like, ‘I would like to be definitively killed at the end of this film.’ We had been like, ‘You know, we’ll go away a ten per cent little opening’,” the producer mentioned.
Iwanyk, who’s selling the upcoming Wick spin-off series The Continental, mentioned Reeves and Stahelski are “getting collectively to work out what that story is” for an additional potential Wick chapter.
“The manner I describe it’s that they are like Paul McCartney and John Lennon, and I’m Ringo,” he mentioned in a reference to the iconic music group The Beatles.
“They’ll name me and let me know, ‘All proper, we’re exhibiting up. Here’s the place you present up, and this is what our story is’. We all need one other John Wick.
