John Lansing, the president and CEO of NPR, stated on Tuesday that he’s retiring on the finish of the 12 months.
The NPR Board of Directors will conduct a nationwide seek for his successor.
In a word to employees, Lansing wrote, “We have been by lots collectively over the previous 4 years, and you’ve got made me proud day-after-day. During the pandemic, we had been there when America wanted us most, reporting truthful life-saving data when disinformation was rampant. And we had been there when America went by an overdue racial reckoning.”
Lansing has been CEO since 2019, having beforehand served as CEO of United States Agency for Global Media.
