Anushka Shetty, whose new film Miss Shetty Mr Polishetty hit the theatres at present, opened up about not taking over a pan-India film after the Baahubali franchise. Anushka performed the character of Devasena within the franchise. Having tasted success in Tamil and Telugu films, Anushka’s stardom expanded after Baahubali. While her co-stars like Prabhas, Rana Daggubati explored Hindi films, Anushka confined herself within the Tamil and Telugu films. Asked by The Indian Express the explanations behind it, Anushka stated, “Once I completed Baahubali, I had my dedication with Bhaagamathie, after which I needed to take a while off. It was by selection. It was one thing I wanted essentially the most at the moment. Back then, I felt like doing that so I’d be extra current for my future initiatives. I do know it’s very unparalleled. It’s not what is predicted of individuals. I haven’t got a concrete reply for it, however I actually needed a while off. I did not hearken to any script, however after that I’ve been listening. So absolutely if one thing thrilling comes by, I’ll do it. Be it any language throughout the nation.”
Asked if she is prepared for a Hindi movie, Anushka stated, “Hopefully, if one thing very nice comes up, then positively.” After Baahubali: The Conclusion, Anushka featured within the Telugu film Bhaagamathie in 2018 and later she was seen within the OTT bilingual launch Nishabdham (2020).
